On March 11, 2020, a delegation of members of the Public Supervisory Commission (PMC) of the Republic of Tatarstan, the leaders of the Yardem National Islamic Charitable Fund, Ildar Bayazitov and Ilgam Ismagilov, visited PKU IK-5 city center Lower Vyazovye Zelenodolsky district of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan. During familiarization with the activities of the colony, the delegation was accompanied by S.G. Kornishin.
During the visit, a reception of prisoners on personal issues was held. Four appeals regarding the provision of medical care by members of PMCs have been monitored. This information will be sent to the management of the Federal Penitentiary Institution “MSCh 16” of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for taking measures.

Ensuring that members of the PMC have access to IC-1 and organizing verification by the administration — comply with the requirements of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation of June 10, 2008 No. 76-ФЗ “On public control over ensuring human rights in places of forced detention and on assistance to people in places forced detention. "
During the visit, members of the PMC were given the opportunity to freely visit the places of residence of convicted persons in various categories of men and women. The place of cooking and eating was examined. A conversation was held on personal issues in the presence of representatives of the administration of the institutions. No complaints were received regarding the conditions of detention. PMC members visited the prayer room and the Orthodox church.
