Social partnership will allow the “Yardem” Foundation to continue the successful implementation of the “See and Hear with Heart” project

On January 20, the first courses will start in the new 2020 under the project “See and hear with the heart”, they will be held at the Rehabilitation Center of the National Islamic Charitable Fund “Yardem” and are aimed at the rehabilitation and social adaptation of blind and visually impaired people. January courses will run from January 20 to February 19, 2020.

Traditionally, monthly rehabilitation courses are expected to come from regions of the Russian Federation - from the Rostov, Orenburg, Saratov, Tula regions, Perm Territory, Stavropol Territory, the Republic of Bashkortostan, Karachay-Cherkessia, Dagestan, from the cities of Yekaterinburg, Samara, as well as from cities and regions Republic of Tatarstan.

In 2020, it is planned to train 200 blind and visually impaired people during 4 courses, two of which will be supported by PJSC LUKOIL-LLC RITEK and subsidies from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in January-February and April-May 2020.

The project “See and hear with your heart” is the largest project of the Yardem Foundation, which is aimed at helping the blind and visually impaired.

In June 2018, this project won the Presidential Grants Competition and entered the collection of best practices of socially oriented non-profit organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Public Chamber of the RT in 2018. He became one of the projects presented in the “Collection of best practices” at the IV international forum “Good Kazan”.

In September 2019, he won the contest of social projects of PJSC LUKOIL in the nomination “Spirituality and Culture”.

In early November 2019, the project won the competition for the provision of subsidies from the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan to non-profit organizations implementing socially significant projects in the nomination “Identifying best practices of non-profit organizations, disseminating successful social technologies”.

The project is being implemented on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan in the city of Kazan, but people with disabilities, in particular blind and hard of hearing, come to rehabilitation and training at a rehabilitation centre from different parts of Russia.

The geography of the project is very wide, during the implementation of the project blind and visually impaired were trained from more than 40 regions of the Russian Federation - Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Vologda, Tyumen regions, Chechnya, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Udmurtia, Mari El, Stavropol Territory , Buryatia, etc., from the CIS countries - Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan. As part of this project, more than 300 applications for training from various regions of the Russian Federation and neighboring countries are accepted annually. In just over 10 years, several thousand people have gone through these rehabilitation courses.

The goal of the project is to improve the quality of life of visually impaired people by implementing an integrated approach for their educational, psychological and medical rehabilitation, socialization in society. One of the objectives of the project is to attract public attention to the problem of persons with disabilities.

To achieve the goal, the following types of rehabilitation are used: medical, which includes massage, physiotherapy and other types of wellness measures, household - help in the development of new skills in everyday life, psychological - various developmental classes are held, socio-cultural - visits to excursions, theaters, concerts and other leisure activities. In addition, the Foundation’s wards receive social and legal support aimed at assisting in obtaining free legal services, informing about their rights as recipients of social services and protecting legitimate interests.

Practice shows that the courses are very popular among blind and visually impaired people, because here you can get not only social and rehabilitation services, but also spiritual and moral support, this is the uniqueness of this project.
